On February 27, 2009 the Greener Gadgets 2009 conference will take place in New York City. Innovators, entrepreneurs, visionaries and eco-designers will discuss the future of sustainability for the consumer electronics industry.
It will also be the place to announce the top 10 finalists of the Greener Gadget Design Competition. We picked one of the numerous innovative ideas for you.
The Belgian invention Blight is a window blind which combines two technologies: flexible solar cells and electroluminescent foil. This window blind collects solar power during day and gives it back during night as indoor lighting.
Now that’s a gadget you don’t have to be a geek to appreciate.
