AeroSolar calculates solar power potential
Posted by Cecilia under: Energy; Home .
German company Aerowest GmbH of Dortmund has developed solar production software called AeroSolar. It’s currently the only system capable of calculating the amount of solar power produced by a certain roof system without knowing the specific local time.
Aerowest specializes in the production of high resolution geodata. They maintain a resolution accuracy of one to two inches, which can be rendered into 3D models of buildings.

AeroSolar, available since the beginning of the year, uses these data to provide detailed 3D measurements of roof areas. Through a specifically developed model the radiation balance of each individual roof can be determined, even taking into account shading from vegetation or neighboring buildings.
The results provide information for the possible output and profitability of a solar power roof system.
AeorSolar was awarded the Intersolar AWARD 2009 in the category of Photovoltaics. The ability to calculate the potential of a system without the need for an on-site inspection was a crucial factor for the Intersolar AWARD jury.

Solar Energy is one of the best sources of clean and green electricity. I think that we should build more efficient solar thermal power plants and solar cells. frequently. `
